Amelia Wasil
Veterinary Assistant

(Arlo is eager to get a treat while he rests on the exam room couch!)

Amelia grew up on a small farm just outside of Eugene with horses, sheep, cows, dogs and cats. From the time she could walk, she had a strong passion for rescuing wildlife. From saving bugs in the swimming pool to bringing home abandoned kittens, Amelia drove her parents crazy with all her animal friends. She was part of 4H and rode horses with her high school equestrian team. During her junior year of high school, Amelia spent one year in Barcelona, Spain, as an exchange student. Her college career brought her to Seattle University where she received bachelor degrees in International Business and Spanish. During college, she continued to travel and study, spending time in South and Central America. Amelia is very happy to be back in Eugene and lives on a 7-acre farm with an apple orchard. Her furry and feathered family includes her two dogs, Arlo and Layla, Penelope the potbelly pig, 12 sheep, and an ever growing flock of Ancona ducks and Bantam chickens.

Samantha Wudtke
Veterinary Technician

(Madison smiles for the camera while perched on the exam room chair.)

Growing up in Illinois, Samantha has always had a profound love for animals. At age sixteen, her first job was at a veterinarian clinic. She has worked in the veterinary field ever since! In college, Samantha studied biology, zoology and photography. In 2014, Samantha and her dog, Madison, drove across the country from Illinois and made their new home in Oregon. Shortly after they arrived, a fluffy white cat named Falkor joined their family. Samantha loves to spend her free-time hiking, camping, reading, writing and doing yoga. Samantha became passionate for holistic medicine after she realized the benefit for herself. That passion quickly extended to her furry family and now to the patients she helps at Healing Paws. She is very excited to be a part of the Healing Paws team and to provide compassionate care to both parents and their pets.
