Healing Paws Dental Program
Home-care is the cornerstone to our dental program. Dental health is greatly influenced by genetics, but we can improve dental health with regular practices at home. From teeth brushing to healthy & effective dental chews, our staff helps you develop a routine that works for you.
Preventive Dental Cleaning & Assessment is a non-anesthetic dental service. Highly trained technicians come to Healing Paws several times per month. This service is NOT a replacement for medical dentistry, but instead, helps to reduce the frequency medical dentistry is needed.
Medical dentistry is performed under anesthesia and often involves oral surgery. Full mouth radiographs are taken on every patient to fully evaluate both tooth and bone health. When teeth extractions are required, nerve blocks and surgical techniques are used to most safely remove the affected teeth. In addition, all pets receive post-surgery acupuncture and homeopathy for optimal pain control and speedy recovery.
